Heritage, Live music

Thank you for the music ♥️

🎼 And in the streets the children screamed, the lovers cried, and the poets dreamed. But not a word was spoken, the church bells all were broken

Fifty years ago Don McLean wrote American Pie, one of the most celebrated songs of all times, inspired not only by the tragic events of the 3rd of February 1959, the day that music died, but also about the deep cultural changes taking place in western societies at the time

Every time we look at the broken bell of Ca’n Beneït’s church we can’t help wondering about what might have happened the day it got broken, and why it hasn’t been repaired ever since

Perhaps it is because some things are better left imperfect. Perhaps the value in them is that they have a story to tell, a secret that long perished in the memory of those who witnessed events that would then go unnoticed for the generations to come

On this double anniversary we would like to pay tribute to all those artists who enlightened us with their passion
